Hello, I am Aparna...
... Welcome to AstrologyArc. I have been fascinated (or rather obsessed) with astrology since at least 2008-2009 when I actually started researching the subject and self-educating myself. Sun signs have been with me since childhood. I still remember reading Linda Goodman's book on sun signs.
Being born and raised in India I already had a written Janam Kundali (birth chart in Vedic astrology/Jyotish) but I never really asked my mum to pull it out and had a read of it. I insisted on not placing any value on unproven matters. Without any grounding on the subject I admit that I was a total non-believer. I moved to London almost two decades ago and could hardly believe, that I would turn out to be an astrologer in future.
Nonetheless the universe works in mysterious ways, and there is always the hidden gem of your ultimate destiny within you. Once you find this jewel and own it, your true self shines. It was the time around my Saturn return that my interest in astrology grew. In the beginning it was an on and off affair. In 2011 I asked my mum for my time of birth again to generate my own natal chart online. And that's when my mind was totally blown away. It was like opening a door to a whole new world (a whole new dimension I might add).
Later I discovered, Pluto was conjunct my natal moon within 3 degree orb when this shift began. It was transformative and I consider it pure destiny. I read somewhere that this transit is ‘a once in a lifetime, long-running empowerment transit’. It was difficult to share the change in life direction fully with anyone as it was a deep and personal transformation. My naïve philosophies gave way to a deeper understanding. Astrology works and I have experienced it first hand. It can guide you on your soul's journey and it does apply in real life.
I am curious and observant person. My interest in human development, psychology, transformation, the inner workings of mind and spirit took me on a more individual astrological journey. I wanted to learn astrology in a wholesome and beneficial way. I wanted to use astrology as a tool to grow and develop and to understand why things happen in life and what causes it and if at all we can manage it or steer it in different directions.
Fast forward 2020, I had been self-studying astrology for a good number of years, reading birth charts of friends, family and colleagues. I was ready for this to become a more full time kind of thing. This has encouraged me to make this into a profession and I am looking forward to this journey which I believe will be amazing.
Astrology is so intriguing and vast . I would encourage everyone to use this amazing science or language whatever you may call to understand themselves and their lives better. So that you are in a better position to decide on your life directions.
Let's begin.
